Words people should use more #1

There are a lot of words from the English language that are rarely used and deserve a place in modern day culture. I have compiled a few into a list.

  • abnegation - saying 'no' to something desired
  • to acquiesce - to accept something with reluctance but without protesting
  • canard - a false rumour
  • collation - a light relaxed meal
  • condign - deserved punishment
  • conflagration - a destructive fire
  • exegesis - an analysis
  • exiguous - very small in size
  • eyrie -  a high-up place
  • fandango - silly nonsense
  • gambit - a ploy
  • gelded - weakened
  • gelid - very cold

Current Playlist

I have a very varied taste in music. Everything from rock to country to pop.
If you have any tracks to recommend of any genre, write the title and artist into the comments and I will give it a listen.

#1 Where did you grow up?

I'd like y'all to get to know me, so I decided to do so by answering random conversation starters I found around the internet.

1. Where did you grow up?

I was born in a small-ish town just outside Bath, England and have lived there ever since. Moving seems to stressful. It's a rural area. I've always wanted to live in a major city, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of people going about their lives.

But this, a little town outside Bath, England, is home.
And I suppose is a good a place as any.
